A period ends….

Last week little Geffen went to her caregiver for the first time.
3 days a week she spends the morning with her till 13.00.

It’s the end of a period, a period where she and I spent 24 hours a day together. A period where I always knew what was going on with her, what she's doing, what she needs. It's hard to let go…
The first two days I felt at a loss at home without her, I walked around, tried to clean and tidy up, I couldn't bring myself to sit and work. I worried about her despite being totally confident with her caregiver whom I love very much.
After a couple of times where we both had settled in to the new situation, I began working. Suddenly I have time alone in the studio, it was quiet and I felt a different energy.
I'm working again.
I torched, prepared some more hair pins and pendants, ordered supplies, photographed and happily entertained visitors in the studio.
Changes..

Wish you all a beautiful and safe week!

Bonfires and fairs

I'm going through some hectic days.
It's an intense period of holidays with a lot of meals, customs and festive atmosphere all around. I had been busy mainly organizing my work and preparing for the Succoth fair that I participated in.
Each year at Succoth there is a lovely fair at EinGev, on the shores of our wonderful Kinneret, full of activities for the kids, art stalls and a great atmosphere.
So I prepared more girls pendants of all sorts (mainly kitty because they are the first to sell…) I also found myself preparing (with great pleasure) vintage style pictures in pastel shades for children's rooms. Suddenly it happened. I began playing with all the papers, fabrics, laces and knickknacks strewn around and I began putting together little, unique pictures. So much fun to make! They made their debut at the fair; I am totally in love with them :-)

The fair this year was less busy than last year but I enjoyed the company and the beautiful view.
Here are a few pictures of my mother's stall.

On  Monday morning I barely managed to wake up and felt fatigued the whole day. In the evening Gili decided enough lounging about and we should make a bonfire on the lawn (or what is left of it after drying it up for the move, which hurts because it was the lawn we were married on). We collected wood, mattresses and suddenly the evening started looking promising. Something stirred and all four of us started smiling, laughing and enjoying ourselves.
It was a fun evening. Just us and pizza :)

Wish you all wonderful days!

I can smell the change in the air..

Early September, first post.
A month of beginnings, birthday, cool and "different" air outside and the atmosphere is different. I love this month, it holds so much in it.
The Jewish New Year is just around the corner and that is always exciting.

Here I am, opening a blog. It's symbolic to me that this happened in September, without planning, but after a lot of thought. I love it when things like that happen. I love the moments where I suddenly notice and get excited from the connection to the power of the universe.
I've given a lot of thought about the blog. Yes, No, should I, maybe, sure, hmmmm… I asked myself why I want to write. There are a number of reasons but I think that it all boils down to my need to catch and pay attention to certain moments in my life. Simple moments in my day to day routine: Dror kissing little Gefen, daily work and creating in my studio, new beads waiting in the kiln, a tiny kitten (that decided to adopt us..) sitting in Gefen's lap, all of us sitting around the small table in the living room enjoying a delicious lunch, renovating the old house on the farm, a corner in my studio in the middle of work, noticing how the Cypress tree in my yard has suddenly grown to tall and almost touches the sky.
Dror paint this summer painting (and also took the photo

These little kittens just came out of nowhere..they know I will love them

I feel like I'm going on an adventure. I may be overzealous but it doesn't matter. I'm glad it is happening.

A few days ago, during the renovations in the house, my oxygen regulator broke, meaning I can't work on my beads in the glass area of my studio until I can install a new one. Not making beads sucks! But on the other hand I find myself working on new pendants for girls and I'm enjoying every moment. It is always fun rummaging through children books and pictures searching for inspiration and interesting paintings and then to sit in the studio with goods music and paint so delicately and in small details. The situation of painting on a small pendant hanging on a chain gives me a sense of tranquility. It's hard to explain but painting in miniature demands inner quiet and immense concentration because every miniscule touch of the brush counts.

May you all have a wonderful week, full of little moments of happiness.
